Wagering with your own money is open to people aged 19 and over in most provinces. Alberta, Manitoba and Quebec are the exceptions, where players aged 18 and over can take part. The video below is Play’Em Live’s short look at the XXXtreme Lightning Roulette show.
What do XXXtreme Lightning Roulette Canada reviews agree on?
Reviews agree it is the Evolution successor to Lightning Roulette. For XXXtreme Lightning Roulette Canada fans, casino.ca calls it more than an update and names the added Chain Lightning and Double Strikes multipliers.
casinos.com says its setup mirrors European Roulette, with 37 pockets: 18 red, 18 black and a green zero. gamblingzone.com says the original’s theme is black and gold Art Deco, while this one uses red and gold.
casino.ca’s verdict says wide betting limits suit beginners and high rollers. But it warns budget players that it is a high-volatility game. XXXtreme Lightning Roulette Canada fans can find the original on our Lightning Roulette page.
Why did Evolution build a more volatile roulette in twenty twenty-two?
Player demand is the short answer for XXXtreme Lightning Roulette Canada readers. Todd Haushalter, Evolution’s Chief Product Officer, said the firm knows “there is a subset of players who desire a more volatile Roulette game”.
Haushalter called Lightning Roulette “the most successful table game in the last 20 years of online gaming”. He added: “Now we are giving players exactly what they have been asking for: more and bigger multipliers.”
For XXXtreme Lightning Roulette Canada players, Evolution’s launch release explains the mix: live dealer play plus a high-payout RNG (Random Number Generator) element. Gaming Intelligence called it “an upgraded version of the supplier’s popular Lightning Roulette game”.
Where does the XXXtreme name in Evolution’s games come from?
It comes from NetEnt’s Starburst XXXtreme slot, as XXXtreme Lightning Roulette Canada fans can read in Evolution’s twenty twenty-one annual report. There, Haushalter writes the name was borrowed and the Xs mean “multiplier” to gamblers.
The same report says NetEnt released Starburst XXXtreme, the sequel to Starburst, in twenty twenty-one. It adds that Crazy Coin Flip offers XXXtreme spins as part of the XXXtreme brand’s expansion.
Evolution’s twenty twenty-three annual report says NetEnt grew its XXXtreme slot family with Taco Fury XXXtreme, Milkshake XXXtreme and Twin Spin XXXtreme. XXXtreme Lightning Roulette Canada fans can spot the same three Xs there.
How did Evolution’s own reports rate the XXXtreme launch?
Evolution’s reports rated it a success from day one. The twenty twenty-two annual report says “XXXtreme Lightning Roulette was an out-of-the-gate success this year”. That is the maker’s verdict for XXXtreme Lightning Roulette Canada fans.
The same annual report names MONOPOLY Big Baller, XXXtreme Lightning Roulette and Crazy Coin Flip as the year’s new big-name live game shows. XXXtreme Lightning Roulette Canada players get one of those three big-name shows.
In Evolution’s first-half report for twenty twenty-two, the CEO called it one of the year’s headline games. The CEO added that it “is a great game which attracts both new and existing players”.
What happens in each XXXtreme round from bet to spin?
Betting ends, lightning numbers are picked at random, and then the ball is spun, say Evolution’s game rules. XXXtreme Lightning Roulette Canada players first get 18 seconds to place bets, says casinos.com.
Yellow lightning hits one to five random numbers each round, paying 50x up to 500x (49:1 to 499:1), say the game rules. The betting grid highlights them and their pays once bets close, the rules add.
For XXXtreme Lightning Roulette Canada fans, gamblingzone.com says the live dealer pulls down a lever each round to trigger the Lightning Numbers. The rules say a valid spin needs at least 3 full revolutions, or a re-spin follows.
How does red lightning lift a multiplier past 500x?
Red lightning boosts multipliers already shown, and Evolution’s game rules say it can appear in each round. With red lightning, XXXtreme Lightning Roulette Canada players can win 50x up to 2,000x (49:1 to 1,999:1), per the rules.
Double Strikes can hit any existing lucky spot to lift multipliers to between 600x and 2,000x, says Evolution’s game page. Per casino.ca, it is unique to XXXtreme and needs a straight-up bet for a chance to trigger.
Sources split on timing for XXXtreme Lightning Roulette Canada players. Double Strikes can strike at any time, says casino.ca, while gamblingzone.com calls Double Strike the final extra feature before the wheel turns.
What number of lucky spots can a single XXXtreme round hold?
One round holds up to ten lucky spots for XXXtreme Lightning Roulette Canada players. Evolution’s game page says Lightning Numbers and Chain Lightning Numbers make up “(but never exceed) ten bet spots in total per game round”.
For XXXtreme Lightning Roulette Canada fans, Evolution’s game page says the Chain Lightning round can add up to nine more lucky bet spots. Chain Lightning picks Chain Numbers with extra multipliers, highlighted in red, says gamblingzone.com.
In the CasinoScores feed on the seventeenth of October twenty twenty-six, 40 of the 100 latest rounds had 3 lightning numbers. Just 1 round had 10.
Why do review sites print different XXXtreme straight-up pays?
Sources disagree on the low end. The casino.ca paytable puts a single number at 29:1 to 2,000:1, and casinos.com prints 29:1. For XXXtreme Lightning Roulette Canada players, Evolution’s game rules, gamblingzone.com and one Ontario casino print 19:1.
For XXXtreme Lightning Roulette Canada players checking roulette odds, gamblingzone.com says the 19:1 straight-up pay is how the house makes up for bigger multipliers. Traditional European roulette pays 35:1, the site adds.
The text on casino.ca says straight-up bets pay 35:1 in the base game and 19:1 during the Lightning round, unlike its paytable. One Casinomeister forum player thought a single number pays only 20 to 1.
Which RTP figures do sources publish for XXXtreme?
Evolution’s game rules give a top theoretical RTP of 97.12% for Straight Up bets and 97.30% for all other bets. Per casinos.com, the RTP on XXXtreme Lightning Roulette Canada tables sits above the average of 95%.
The stats table on casino.ca lists 97.10% to 97.30%, the stats box on casinos.com shows 97.12%, and gamblingzone.com gives 97.3%. The casinos.com FAQ puts straight-up bets at 97.10% and other wagers at 97.30%, unlike its stats box.
For XXXtreme Lightning Roulette Canada fans, casino.ca says the base game returns 97.30%, falling to 97.10% when the multiplier feature is active. Our best-live-dealer page notes that Global News puts the RTP at 97.30%.
What caps the biggest XXXtreme payout in one round?
Evolution’s game rules cap round winnings at $500,000, with the player’s bet left out of that sum. They also block XXXtreme Lightning Roulette Canada players from adding bets able to produce a win above the MAX PAYOUT limit.
The max win reads 2,000x on casino.ca and €200,000.00 on casinos.com, while gamblingzone.com puts the max payout allowed at £500,000. According to gamblingzone.com, the 2,000x top multiplier is a big jump from the 500x in Lightning Roulette.
XXXtreme Lightning Roulette Canada fans read on casino.ca that Double Strikes boost winnings up to a maximum of 2,000x the stake. Evolution’s game rules also state, “Malfunction voids all pays and play.”
What stake limits do XXXtreme tables show to Canadians?
The bet limits panel in Evolution’s game rules shows XXXtreme at $5 to $1,000. Those rules also tell XXXtreme Lightning Roulette Canada players that table bet limits change from time to time.
Bets run $0.20 to $5,000 on casino.ca, €0.10 to €5,000.00 on casinos.com, £0.20 to £20,000 on gamblingzone.com, and $0.20 to $500 at one Ontario casino. The casino.ca review says the game caters to budget bettors and high rollers.

The CasinoScores FAQ says XXXtreme brings higher volatility, more frequent multipliers and a bigger 2,000x top payout than standard Lightning Roulette. The gamblingzone.com reviewer prefers Lightning Roulette because of the 19:1 straight-up payout.
The casino.ca verdict suggests XXXtreme Lightning Roulette Canada players who prefer safe play stick with the original Lightning Roulette. On managing a casino bankroll, gamblingzone.com advises keeping it strict and not chasing losses.

Where is the XXXtreme table streamed from?
Riga, Latvia, is the short answer for XXXtreme Lightning Roulette Canada players. A photo caption in Evolution’s twenty twenty-two annual report reads: “Our new studio for XXXtreme Lightning Roulette in Riga, Latvia.”
The same report calls the Riga studio Evolution’s innovation hub, where most new games are developed, tested and launched. It names Riga, Fort Mriehel in Malta and Tbilisi in Georgia as its three main production studios.
Review sites disagree. The site casino.ca says the game streams from Evolution’s main studio in Latvia, and casinos.com lists Latvia, while gamblingzone.com lists Riga, Malta, Latvia. XXXtreme Lightning Roulette Canada fans can also browse Evolution casinos in Canada.
What does First Person XXXtreme add to the RNG version?
First Person XXXtreme adds a Speed slider and a route to the live game. Evolution lists it as an RNG, or Random Number Generator, version. Its page says the slider lets XXXtreme Lightning Roulette Canada players switch between Fast and Normal modes.
The same page says a ‘GO LIVE’ button takes players through an in-game portal to the live version. A gamblingzone.com reviewer notes First Person mode lacks the winners list shown beside the live game.
Sources split on demos. While casino.ca says no demo is available, casinos.com says the First Person version offers demo mode with free chips. XXXtreme Lightning Roulette Canada fans can also try free roulette games.
