Free craps Canada players can try is the demo version of online craps, played with virtual chips on a software table. The dice, the bets and the payouts match the real game, but no money changes hands. This page explains how free craps works, which versions to practise and how each bet behaves. For licensed places to play, see our Canadian online casino rankings.
The short wikiHow clip below shows how to play craps step by step. Everything it covers applies at a free craps Canada table too.
Craps looks busy, but most of the layout is optional. Free play lets you learn it one bet at a time.
| Bet | House edge | Practise first? |
|---|---|---|
| Pass line | 1.41% | Yes |
| Don’t pass | 1.36% | Yes |
| Odds behind a line bet | 0% | Yes |
| Place 6 or 8 | 1.52% | Yes |
| Field (2 and 12 pay double) | 5.56% | Later |
| Any seven | 16.67% | Only to learn it |
What is free craps Canada players can try?
It is online craps played with play money. Free craps Canada tables load the same software a casino uses and give you a balance of virtual chips. You can place pass line, come, place and proposition bets, then roll the dice and watch every bet settle.
Casino.org calls these games free craps simulators. You join a table, place your bets and press roll.
The only difference from real play is the currency. The dice maths stays exactly the same.
How does free craps Canada play work?
A random number generator rolls two virtual dice for each throw. You set a chip size, place bets on the layout and press roll; winning bets pay at the table’s standard odds, and losing bets disappear from your play money balance.
When your balance runs low, a refresh or reload button restores it.

Casino.org notes that gameplay varies by provider and variant, but the basics stay the same: you predict how two dice will land.
Is free craps the same as real money craps?
Only the stakes differ. A free craps Canada table uses the same layout, dice probabilities and payouts as its real money version. Your chip balance stays on screen and can never be cashed out.
Real money adds bonuses, loyalty points and real risk, which free play leaves out.
Bet the chip sizes you would use at a real table, so the lesson carries over.
Do free craps Canada wins ever pay out?
No. Wins at free craps Canada tables arrive as virtual chips with no cash value. Casino.org adds that live dealer craps is not available for free, because casinos rely on real wagers to pay their dealers.
Only real money craps pays out cash.
Treat a big free win as practice. The next real roll starts from the same odds.
Is free craps Canada play legal?
Playing free craps involves no stake, so it is not gambling in the legal sense. Real money craps is regulated by the provinces, and OLG offers live craps to adults in Ontario, where online casino play requires players to be 19 or older.
Ontario has a licensed private market, while provincial corporations run online play elsewhere.
Law only becomes relevant once dice are rolled for real money.
What age rules apply to craps in Canada?
The minimum gambling age is 19 in most provinces, while Alberta, Manitoba and Quebec allow play at 18. OLG’s site states that players must be 19 or older to take part in online casino games in Ontario.
Our page on the gambling age in Canada lists every province.
Free craps Canada tables are for adults, since the habits they build are betting habits.
Is a download required for free craps?
Not for browser games. Casino.org advertises its free craps games with no download or registration, and HTML5 tables open in any current browser, so free craps Canada play starts instantly on desktop or mobile.
App store versions are the exception. They install like any other app.
Browser play saves storage and needs no updates, which makes it the simplest way to practise.
Do free craps Canada tables work on phones?
Yes. Casino.org says you can play free craps on any mobile device through a free craps app or a casino’s responsive site. It calls this a good way to adapt to the condensed layout before playing for real.
Turn your phone sideways for the full table.
Zoom in before you confirm small bets, since chip placement is harder on a small screen.
Where did craps come from?
Casino.ca traces craps to Hazard, an old English dice game dating back to the 13th century. The game travelled to North America, where it was simplified into the version that real money casinos and free craps Canada tables use today.
The modern layout, with its pass line and odds bets, took shape in American casinos.
Online versions keep that layout and add software features such as replays and tutorials.
What forms of online craps exist?
Two main forms. Casino.ca says online craps comes either as RNG craps, where a random number generator produces the dice results. The other form is live dealer craps, streamed from a real table with a human dealer or an automated shooter.
Only the RNG form offers free play. Live tables need real bets.
Free craps Canada demos are therefore always software games, often styled to look like a real table.
What is First Person Craps?
First Person Craps is Evolution’s RNG craps game with a 3D table. Casino.ca says you click to roll, place bets at your own pace and often get built-in tutorials or replays, and it lists the game’s RTP at about 98.63%.
One Casino.ca reviewer says they kept returning to it for the smooth rolls and the freedom to test bet types without a countdown.
It is the most common format behind free craps Canada demos at casinos that carry Evolution games.
Which casinos offer RNG and live craps?
Canadasportsbetting.ca says Casumo offers two Evolution craps games: a first-person RNG game set in a jazz salon and a live game with a mechanical throwing arm and real dice. It adds that 888 Casino runs its own fast RNG craps with limits as low as $0.50.
Casino.ca says Microgaming and Evolution power the craps games at Jackpot City.
Check each casino’s licence before you register, even for free craps Canada play.
Is craps a good game for beginners?
Yes, once you ignore most of the layout. The pass line is simple and carries one of the lowest house edges in the casino. Free craps Canada tables let beginners learn it without the pressure of a crowded real table.
The complexity comes from optional bets, not from the core game.
Learn the pass line and odds first, and everything else becomes easier to add.
Why play free craps before real money?
Because the craps layout is the most crowded in the casino, and mistakes there cost money. Free craps Canada tables let you learn where each bet sits, how each one pays and which ones are worth your chips before any real stake.
Canadasportsbetting.ca says demo games let you practise craps strategies before playing for real money.
Two or three hours of free play remove most beginner errors, from misplaced chips to expensive prop bets.
What are the downsides of free craps?
Two stand out. Free craps cannot pay real money, and live dealer craps has no free version, so you only practise on software tables. Play chips can also make big wagers feel routine, a habit that turns costly with real money.
Use the stake you would place at a real table.
That keeps free craps Canada practice honest and useful.
Who is the shooter in online craps?
At a land-based table, the shooter is the player rolling the dice, and the role passes around the table after each seven out. In RNG craps you are always the shooter, since the software rolls for you whenever you press the roll button.
Live online tables use a dealer, an automated shooter or a mechanical arm instead.
Free craps Canada tables therefore let you control the pace of every round.
How does the craps layout work?
The layout groups bets by type. The pass and don’t pass lines run along the edge, and the come and don’t come boxes sit inside them. The field covers a strip of one-roll numbers, the place numbers run across the top and the proposition bets fill the centre.
Real tables repeat the layout on both ends. Software tables usually show one side.
Learn one area at a time in free craps Canada play, starting with the pass line.
What do the help and history screens show?
The help screen lists every bet, its payout and the table rules, such as the odds limit and how commissions work. The history screen shows recent rolls, which helps you check how a bet was settled after a busy round.
History never predicts the next roll. Each one is independent.
Read the help screen once per game before you start a free craps Canada session.
What chip sizes and table limits apply?
Each table sets a minimum and a maximum bet, and limits on odds bets. Canadasportsbetting.ca says 888 Casino runs an RNG craps game with limits as low as $0.50, and free craps Canada demos usually copy the limits of their real money versions.
Pick a chip size that matches your real budget, not the largest chip on offer.
Oversized demo bets build habits you pay for later.
What is a craps simulator?
A craps simulator is a free software version of craps that runs on play money. Casino.org uses the term for its free craps games. Every free craps Canada demo on a review site or casino lobby works this way, from simple tables to 3D first-person games.
Simulators copy the real game’s layout, payouts and dice probabilities.
The better ones add tutorials, roll history and adjustable speed.
How do you choose a free craps simulator?
Pick one that matches the table you plan to play for real. Casino.org says simulators differ, with some offering stunning graphics and others a lightning-quick experience, and it suggests trying more than one to find the style that suits you.
Check that the simulator offers the bets and odds limits you want to practise.
A free craps Canada demo from a real casino provider is the most faithful copy of the money game.
Do free craps games include tutorials?
Certain ones do. Casino.ca says Evolution’s First Person Craps often comes with built-in tutorials or replays to walk you through the game. One of its reviewers says they used the built-in tutorial before playing mostly pass line with odds.
Tutorials explain bets as you place them, which speeds up learning.
Turn them off once you know the layout, so free craps Canada sessions move faster.
How do you start a free craps game?
Pick a table, set your chip size and place a pass line or don’t pass bet. Casino.ca describes the same steps: choose a stake, make the line bet, then watch the come-out roll decide a win, a loss or a point.
- Load a free craps Canada demo from a review site or casino lobby.
- Choose a chip value.
- Place a pass line or don’t pass bet.
- Press roll for the come-out roll.
- If a point is set, keep rolling until the point or a seven appears.
Add odds or come bets only once the line bet feels natural.
What is the come-out roll?
It is the first roll of a round. On the pass line, a 7 or 11 wins at once, a 2, 3 or 12 loses at once. Any other total, 4, 5, 6, 8, 9 or 10, becomes the point, as Casino.ca explains.
The come-out roll decides about a third of rounds immediately. The rest move into the point phase.
Free craps Canada tables show the come-out result clearly, so you learn the rule within minutes.
What happens once a point is set?
The shooter keeps rolling until the point number or a 7 appears. Casino.org says pass line bets win if the point comes first, don’t pass bets win if the 7 comes first, and then a new come-out roll begins.
During the point phase you can add odds, come and place bets if the table allows.
Watching rounds in free craps Canada mode is the fastest way to feel the rhythm of the game.
What are point numbers?
The point numbers are 4, 5, 6, 8, 9 and 10. Rolling one of them on the come-out sets the point, and the round then continues until the point repeats or a 7 appears, as Casino.ca explains.
Each point number has its own box on the layout for place, buy and come bets.
Free craps Canada tables highlight the active point, so you never lose track of it.
What are the chances of making each point?
It depends on the number. A point of 6 or 8 repeats before a 7 about 45.45% of the time, a 5 or 9 about 40% and a 4 or 10 about 33.33%. The 7 has more combinations than any point number.
Those chances explain why odds bets pay 6:5, 3:2 and 2:1 on those points.
Free craps Canada practice shows the gap between the easy and the hard points over a long session.
How does the pass line work at a free table?
The pass line is the basic craps bet: you bet with the shooter. It wins on a 7 or 11 at the come-out, loses on 2, 3 or 12, and otherwise wins if the point repeats before a 7. Its house edge is 1.41%.
Canadasportsbetting.ca says a heads-up RNG game starts with either the pass line or don’t pass.
Start every free craps Canada session with this bet.
How does betting don’t pass work?
Don’t pass is the opposite bet: you bet against the shooter. Canadasportsbetting.ca says it loses on 7 or 11 at the come-out, wins on 2 or 3 and pushes on 12, which the layout marks as “bar the 12”.
After a point is set, don’t pass wins if a 7 arrives before the point.
Its house edge is 1.36%, the lowest of the main bets, which free craps Canada play lets you confirm over long sessions.
What is the odds bet?
The odds bet sits behind a pass or don’t pass bet once a point is set, and it pays at true odds. Canadasportsbetting.ca calls it almost certainly the only bet in the casino with no house edge. It pays 2:1 on 4 or 10, 3:2 on 5 or 9 and 6:5 on 6 or 8.
Tables cap how much odds you can take, often as a multiple of the line bet.
Practise taking odds in free craps Canada mode until the payouts feel familiar.
Why does the odds bet matter so much?
Because it lowers the combined house edge of your line bet. The odds part carries no edge, so the more of your total stake sits in odds, the closer your overall return gets to break-even. The line bet’s edge never disappears.
Canadasportsbetting.ca advises taking the maximum odds your bankroll allows.
Free craps Canada practice shows how odds bets also increase the swings in your balance.
How much odds can you take?
It depends on the table. Casinos set the maximum odds as a multiple of your line bet, such as 2x, 5x or 3-4-5x, and online tables show the limit in their help screen. Canadasportsbetting.ca advises taking the maximum your bankroll allows.
Higher odds limits lower your overall edge but raise your total stake per round.
Test different odds levels in free craps Canada mode to see how they change the swings.
What are 3-4-5x odds?
It is a common odds limit: up to 3 times the line bet on 4 and 10, 4 times on 5 and 9 and 5 times on 6 and 8. The pattern means a winning odds bet always pays 6 times the line bet, whatever the point.
Dealers like it because the payout is easy to calculate.
Free craps Canada tables that offer 3-4-5x let you practise the full structure.
How does laying odds work?
On the don’t side, you lay odds instead of taking them, risking more to win less. You lay 2 to win 1 against a 4 or 10, 3 to win 2 against a 5 or 9 and 6 to win 5 against a 6 or 8. The odds part carries no house edge.
Laying odds suits players who prefer frequent small wins and occasional larger losses.
Practise both sides in free craps Canada mode to feel the difference.
What edge remains with full odds?
A small one. A pass line bet alone carries 1.41%. Measured across the whole amount bet, a pass line with 3-4-5x odds drops to about 0.37%, because most of the money sits in the zero-edge odds bet.
The edge never reaches zero, since the line bet keeps its 1.41%.
Free craps Canada sessions show the price: bigger swings in exchange for a lower edge.
What is a contract bet?
A contract bet is a bet you cannot take back once a point is set. The pass line and come bets become contract bets at that moment, because removing them would only favour the player, while odds bets behind them can usually be removed.
Don’t pass and don’t come bets can be removed, but doing so gives up their advantage.
Free craps Canada tables lock contract bets automatically, so you learn the rule by doing.
What is a put bet?
A put bet is a pass line bet placed after a point is already set. It skips the favourable come-out roll, so it is a poor bet on its own, and only becomes reasonable when you add large odds behind it.
Not every table allows put bets.
Compare a put bet with a place bet in free craps Canada mode before you use one.
How do come and don’t come bets behave?
They are line bets made after a point is set. Canadasportsbetting.ca explains that a come bet wins on 7 or 11 and loses on 2, 3 or 12. Any other total becomes its own point, which must roll again before a 7.
Don’t come works the other way, like a don’t pass bet started mid-round. Both carry the same edges as their line bets.
Free craps Canada tables track each come point for you, which makes them easy to learn.
What are place bets?
A place bet backs one number, 4, 5, 6, 8, 9 or 10, to roll before a 7. Canadasportsbetting.ca gives the standard prices. You bet 6 to win 7 on 6 or 8, bet 5 to win 7 on 5 or 9 and bet 5 to win 9 on 4 or 10.
It puts the house edge at about 1.5% on 6 and 8, 4.0% on 5 and 9 and 6.6% on 4 and 10.
Place the 6 and 8 first in free craps Canada practice. They carry the lowest edge of the group.
What does working or off mean?
A bet that is working can win or lose on the next roll, and a bet that is off cannot. By default, place and buy bets are usually off on the come-out roll and working once a point is set, and players can switch them on or off.
Odds on come bets also tend to be off during a come-out roll.
Free craps Canada tables show the status on each chip or in the help screen.
Can you take a bet down?
Most of them, yes. Place, buy, lay and odds bets can usually be removed between rolls. Pass line and come bets cannot be taken down once a point is set, because they have become contract bets.
Taking down place bets during a hot roll is a common way to lock in a profit.
Practise removing and adding bets in free craps Canada mode until the controls feel natural.
How do place bets compare with come bets?
Both back point numbers, but they work differently. A come bet travels to whatever number rolls next and carries a 1.41% edge. A place bet goes straight to the number you choose, at 1.52% on 6 and 8 and higher edges elsewhere.
Come bets can also win or lose on their first roll, which place bets cannot.
Run both side by side in free craps Canada mode to see which rhythm suits you.
What is the field bet?
The field is a one-roll bet that wins on 2, 3, 4, 9, 10, 11 or 12 and loses on 5, 6, 7 or 8. With 2 and 12 paying double, its house edge is about 5.56%, and tables that pay triple on 12 cut that to about 2.78%.
Canadasportsbetting.ca notes the old table saying that only farmers make money in the field.
The field wins often but loses more than it looks. Free craps Canada sessions make that clear quickly.
What are hard way bets?
A hard way bet wins if a 4, 6, 8 or 10 rolls as a pair, such as two fours for a hard 8. It has to land before that number rolls any other way or a 7 appears. Canadasportsbetting.ca says these bets are not strictly one-roll bets.
Hard 6 and hard 8 usually pay 9:1 with a 9.09% edge. Hard 4 and hard 10 pay 7:1 with an 11.11% edge.
Try them in free craps Canada mode to see how rarely they land.
Which craps bets have the lowest house edge?
The odds bet, at 0%, then don’t pass and don’t come at 1.36%, pass and come at 1.41% and place bets on 6 or 8 at about 1.52%. Those five bets are the backbone of every low-cost craps approach.
Casino.ca notes that certain craps bets carry a house edge of just 1.36%.
Build every free craps Canada drill around these bets first.
Which craps bets cost the most?
The centre props. Any seven carries about 16.67%, single-number bets on 2 or 12 about 13.89%, the horn about 12.5% and hard ways between 9.09% and 11.11%. Big 6 and 8 cost 9.09% against a place bet’s 1.52%.
The field, at about 5.56%, sits between the good and the bad bets.
Try the expensive bets only in free craps Canada practice, where they cost nothing.
What are proposition bets?
Proposition, or prop, bets sit in the centre of the layout and mostly settle on the next roll. Canadasportsbetting.ca says bets such as any craps, any seven and the horn pay large amounts but do not pay enough to cover the true odds.
They carry the highest house edges on the table.
Free craps Canada play is the only place to try them without paying for the lesson.
What is the any seven bet?
Any seven is a one-roll bet that the next total is 7. It pays 4:1, while the true odds are 5:1, which gives it a house edge of about 16.67%, the worst standard bet on the craps table.
A 7 is the most common total, at 6 of 36 combinations, yet the payout still falls short.
Watch it lose in free craps Canada mode, then leave it alone at real tables.
What are any craps, yo and horn bets?
Any craps wins if the next roll is 2, 3 or 12 and pays 7:1, with an edge of about 11.11%. The yo bet backs an 11 and usually pays 15:1, also about 11.11%, and the horn splits one bet across 2, 3, 11 and 12.
The horn’s edge is about 12.5%. All three settle on the next roll.
Use free craps Canada practice to learn their names, not their value.
What is the C and E bet?
C and E splits one bet between any craps and the 11. It wins on 2, 3 or 12 through the craps half, at 7:1, or on 11 through the eleven half, at 15:1. Both halves together carry an edge of about 11.11%.
Players often use it to guard a pass line bet on the come-out.
Free craps Canada practice shows how much that protection costs over time.
What is the world bet?
The world, or whirl, bet is a five-unit bet that combines the horn numbers, 2, 3, 11 and 12, with any seven. A 7 usually pushes, the horn numbers pay at their prop odds and every other total loses the whole bet.
Its house edge is above 13%, among the highest on the layout.
Try it once in free craps Canada mode, then leave it there.
What are hop bets?
A hop bet backs one exact dice combination on the next roll, such as a 2 and a 4. Easy hops, which can land two ways, usually pay 15:1, while hard hops, which need a pair, pay 30:1, and both carry double-digit house edges.
Not every online table offers hop bets.
Canadasportsbetting.ca lists hop bets among the high-edge bets to avoid if you want winning sessions.
What are one-roll and multi-roll bets?
One-roll bets, such as the field, any seven and the horn, settle on the very next roll. Multi-roll bets, such as the pass line, place bets and hard ways, stay on the table until their number or a 7 decides them.
One-roll bets settle fast, so they expose more money to the edge per hour.
Free craps Canada tables are a good place to feel the pace difference between the two.
Which craps bets pay the most?
The single-number prop bets. Aces, a 2, and twelve, a 12, usually pay 30:1, against true odds of 35:1. Hard hops pay similar amounts, so the biggest payouts come with house edges near 14%.
A big payout does not mean good value. The odds bet pays less but has no edge at all.
Free craps Canada play lets you chase the big numbers without paying for the lesson.
What are the odds of hitting a hard way?
A hard 6 or hard 8 lands before a 7 or the easy version about 1 time in 11, or 9.09%. A hard 4 or hard 10 lands about 1 time in 9, or 11.1%, since fewer easy combinations compete with it.
Payouts of 9:1 and 7:1 fall short of those true odds of 10:1 and 8:1.
Count hard-way hits in free craps Canada sessions to see the gap.
What are big 6 and big 8 bets?
Big 6 and big 8 back a 6 or an 8 to roll before a 7, at even money. That payout is worse than a place bet on the same number, which pays 7:6, so the big 6 and 8 carry a 9.09% edge instead of about 1.52%.
Land-based tables have largely dropped them, and certain online tables still show them.
Compare both in free craps Canada mode and the better choice becomes obvious.
What are buy and lay bets?
Buy bets back a number at true odds in exchange for a commission, usually 5% of the bet or the win. Lay bets do the reverse, backing a 7 to roll before a chosen number, again for a commission.
Buying the 4 or 10 can beat placing them, depending on how the commission is charged.
Check the commission rule in the free craps Canada game’s help screen before comparing.
How likely is each dice total?
Two dice make 36 combinations. A 7 comes up in 6 of them, 6 and 8 in 5 each and 5 and 9 in 4 each. A 4 or 10 comes up in 3 each, 3 and 11 in 2 each, and 2 and 12 in just 1 each.
| Total | Combinations | Chance per roll |
|---|---|---|
| 7 | 6 | 16.67% |
| 6 or 8 | 5 each | 13.89% each |
| 5 or 9 | 4 each | 11.11% each |
| 4 or 10 | 3 each | 8.33% each |
| 3 or 11 | 2 each | 5.56% each |
| 2 or 12 | 1 each | 2.78% each |
Every craps payout and house edge flows from this table.
What are the chances on the come-out roll?
On a come-out roll, a 7 or 11 wins for the pass line 8 times in 36, or about 22.2%. A 2, 3 or 12 loses 4 times in 36, about 11.1%. The remaining two thirds of come-out rolls set a point.
Overall, a pass line bet wins about 49.29% of the time.
Free craps Canada sessions show how close to a coin flip the main bet really is.
What are craps side bets?
Side bets add optional prizes outside the standard layout. Common examples include the Fire Bet, which pays for making a set of different points in one hand. The All Small, All Tall and Make ‘Em All bets pay for rolling sets of numbers before a 7.
Side bets usually carry far higher edges than the line bets.
Read their paytables in free craps Canada mode before you try them for real.
Which craps versions can you play for free?
A wide range of RNG versions. Casino.ca lists First Person Craps, crapless craps, High Point craps, classic bank craps and simplified craps, and Casino.org adds die rich craps, New York craps and a diceless version.
Live dealer craps is the one version you cannot play for free.
Start with classic craps in free craps Canada mode, then try one variant at a time.
What is crapless craps?
Crapless craps removes the come-out loss on 2, 3 and 12, which become points instead. Casino.ca says this raises the house edge to about 5.38%, and Casino.org says the variant is popular in Detroit casinos.
You still lose if a 7 arrives before the point, and the 11 also becomes a point.
The constant action costs more over time, which free craps Canada play lets you measure.
What is High Point craps?
High Point craps changes the come-out roll so that 11 or 12 win automatically, while 2 and 3 are rolled again. Casino.ca says you then need a total higher than the point, and it lists the game’s RTP at about 97.65%.
The rules are simpler than standard craps, with fewer bet types.
Try it in free craps Canada mode to compare its pace with the classic game.
What is simplified craps?
Sources describe different games under this name. Casino.ca’s simplified craps is a single throw that wins on 2, 3, 4, 10, 11 or 12, with an RTP of about 99%. Casino.org describes a version that drops point numbers for winning and losing numbers, at a 2.8% edge.
Always read the rules screen of the version you open.
Free craps Canada tables are the safest place to learn a variant’s quirks.
What is New York craps?
New York craps uses a double-end dealer table layout popular in New York and the eastern United States. Casino.org says come and don’t come bets are not allowed, and it puts the variant’s overall house edge at 5%.
Buy bets usually replace place bets on this layout.
Online casinos rarely carry it, so free craps Canada demos are a rare chance to see it.
What is die rich craps?
Die rich craps uses a single die instead of the usual pair. Casino.org calls it craps for dummies, with a low barrier to entry, but says its house edge is almost double that of standard rules.
Casino.org suggests learning the original game instead.
Use it in free craps Canada mode only for fun, not as preparation for standard tables.
What is live dealer craps?
Live dealer craps streams a real table from a studio, with a dealer and either a real shooter or a mechanical arm. Canadasportsbetting.ca describes Evolution’s live game with a mechanical throwing arm and real dice.
Live tables need real bets, so there is no free version to play.
Practise on free craps Canada RNG tables, then watch a live table before you join one. Our page on live dealer casinos in Canada explains how live games work.
What does seven out mean?
Seven out is the roll of a 7 after a point is set. It ends the round, loses every pass line and come bet with an active point and wins the don’t pass and don’t come bets. At a real table, the dice then pass to the next shooter.
A 7 on the come-out roll is different. It wins the pass line instead.
Free craps Canada tables announce the seven out, so the difference sticks quickly.
What happens to come bets on a seven out?
Come bets that already sit on a point lose when a 7 rolls, along with the pass line. A new come bet placed for that very roll wins instead, because a 7 is a winner on a come bet’s first roll, just as it is on the come-out.
Odds on come bets are often off during a come-out roll, which can save them when a 7 lands.
Free craps Canada tables settle all of this automatically, so you can watch each case play out.
What do the on and off markers show?
The puck, a round marker on the layout, shows whether a point is set. Off means the next roll is a come-out roll, and on, placed on a number, shows the current point that the shooter needs to repeat before a 7.
Software tables use the same marker or a highlighted number.
Watch the puck during free craps Canada play. It tells you which bets are open.
What is a natural in craps?
A natural is a 7 or 11 on the come-out roll. It wins every pass line bet at once and loses every don’t pass bet, and the next roll starts a fresh round with a new come-out.
Naturals arrive on about 22.2% of come-out rolls.
Count them across a free craps Canada session to see the probability table at work.
How long does a craps hand last?
On average, a shooter rolls about 8.5 times before sevening out. Most hands end far sooner, while rare ones run for dozens of rolls, which is where the memorable winning streaks at a table come from.
The average includes every come-out roll and point phase in the hand.
Free craps Canada sessions show how often short hands appear between the long ones.
What is a hot roll?
A hot roll is a long hand with many points made before the seven out. The most famous one lasted 154 rolls at a casino in Atlantic City, an event far rarer than any regular player will see.
Hot rolls are random. They do not signal that the next hand will be hot.
Free craps Canada play lets you see how rare long hands are across hundreds of rounds.
Which bets suit beginners at free craps Canada tables?
The pass line, then odds behind it. Canadasportsbetting.ca says the pass line with full odds and come bets with full odds give the best chance at winning sessions. It warns against high-edge bets such as hard ways and hop bets.
Add place bets on 6 and 8 once the line bet feels natural.
Keep prop bets for curiosity only in free craps Canada practice.
What is the right side versus the dark side?
Betting the pass and come lines is the right side, with the shooter. Betting don’t pass and don’t come is the dark side, against the shooter. The dark side has a slightly lower edge, 1.36% against 1.41%, but wins when most of the table loses.
Both sides take odds at true payouts, laid in reverse for the dark side.
Try a session on each side in free craps Canada mode and compare.
What is a three-point molly?
It is a pass line bet with odds plus two come bets with odds, so you have up to three numbers working at once. Every part of the system uses low-edge bets, which is why craps players treat it as a sound way to add action.
It raises the money on the table and the swings in your balance.
Run it in free craps Canada mode to see how a single seven out clears every point at once.
What is the iron cross?
The iron cross combines a field bet with place bets on 5, 6 and 8, so every total except 7 wins something. It feels safe because most rolls pay, but the 7 is the most common total and wipes out every bet together.
Its combined edge is higher than the pass line with odds.
Free craps Canada practice shows the pattern clearly: frequent small wins, then a large loss.
Why does doubling after losses fail at craps?
Because losing runs outlast bankrolls and table limits. A pass line bet loses ten times in a row about once in every 890 attempts. A doubling plan that starts at $5 then needs a $5,120 bet on the eleventh try.
Table maximums often stop the plan before that point.
Run the system in free craps Canada mode with a realistic balance to see how it ends.
Do hedge bets help?
They reduce swings, not costs. Guarding a pass line bet with any craps or C and E on the come-out wins back part of the loss on a 2, 3 or 12. The prop bet’s high edge raises the total cost of every round.
Over time, hedged sessions lose more than unhedged ones.
Compare both approaches in free craps Canada practice and the numbers speak clearly.
Can any system beat the craps house edge?
No. Each roll is independent, and every bet except the odds bet carries a fixed edge, so no betting pattern changes the long-run result. Systems only change how wins and losses are spread across a session.
Canadasportsbetting.ca calls bankroll management the best strategy around.
Free craps Canada play is where you can test that claim at no cost.
Does dice control work online?
No. Online RNG craps uses a random number generator, not physical dice, so throwing technique does not exist there. Even at live tables with mechanical arms, the player has no control over how the dice land.
Claims about controlled throws come from land-based tables, and they remain unproven.
Free craps Canada tables show pure random results, which is the right baseline.
Are dice ever due for a 7?
No. A long run without a 7 does not make the next 7 more likely, because each roll is independent with a 16.67% chance of a 7. Believing otherwise is the gambler’s fallacy, and it leads players to raise bets at the wrong times.
Hot and cold streaks are normal features of random sequences.
Watch them come and go in free craps Canada play before you trust any feeling about the dice.
How do you rehearse bankroll limits at free craps Canada tables?
Give yourself a fixed demo balance, a fixed base bet and a stop point, then stick to them. Canadasportsbetting.ca says your bankroll is everything and that managing it is the best strategy, starting with not overbetting it.
A common rule keeps the base bet small relative to the session balance, so odds and come bets have room.
Free craps Canada sessions let you test those limits until they feel automatic.
What drills help at free craps Canada tables?
Short, focused drills work best. Play 50 rounds of pass line only, then 50 rounds with full odds. Then play 50 rounds adding place bets on 6 and 8, and compare how your balance moved in each block.
- Pass line only, flat bets.
- Pass line with maximum odds.
- Pass line, odds and place 6 and 8.
- Don’t pass with laid odds.
Log each block so the comparison stays honest.
How fast is online craps?
As fast as you click on an RNG table, and much slower at a live table, where each roll takes time to throw and settle. Casino.ca notes that First Person Craps lets you play at your own pace without a countdown.
More rolls per hour mean more money exposed to the edge in real play.
Count your own rolls per hour in free craps Canada practice before you set a real budget.
What does free craps teach about variance?
That a short session says little about the long run. A pass line player can lose ten rounds in a row or win eight. Adding odds makes those swings bigger, even as it lowers the overall edge on the money you bet.
Variance decides how a session feels. The edge decides where thousands of rounds end up.
Both effects show up at free craps Canada tables, free of charge.
How long is a useful free craps session?
Long enough to see at least three hundred rolls. Short free craps Canada sessions mostly show luck. Longer ones reveal how often points repeat, how often seven outs arrive and how odds bets change the swings in your balance.
Set a timer as well as a roll count, so practice does not take over an evening.
Repeat the same drill on another day before you draw conclusions.
How do you work out the cost of craps play?
Multiply the number of bets by the stake and the house edge. A hundred $10 pass line decisions cost about $14 on average at a 1.41% edge. The same money on any seven costs about $167, though any single session can end far from those figures.
Odds bets add stake without adding expected cost.
Free craps Canada practice lets you count how many decisions you make per hour.
Can you play free craps in French?
Often, yes. Major providers translate their craps games into French, and the language usually follows your browser or device setting, which suits players in Quebec who use free craps Canada sites.
Bet names such as pass line and don’t pass change with the language.
If a craps table loads in English, switch the language in its settings.
Do craps games differ between providers?
In presentation and options, yes. Casino.org says gameplay varies by provider and variant while the basics stay the same. Canadian casinos carry craps from Evolution and Microgaming, and 888 Casino runs its own RNG game, per Casino.ca and canadasportsbetting.ca.
Odds limits, side bets and speed settings vary the most.
Compare two providers in free craps Canada mode before you choose a real money table.
Are free craps apps worth downloading?
Only from official stores and established developers. Craps apps from the Apple App Store, Google Play and Microsoft Store rank for free craps Canada searches. Casino.org keeps a list of the free craps apps it rates highest.
Plenty of apps are social games with virtual coins, not demos of casino software.
Read app reviews and data permissions before you install one.
What mistakes do new craps players make?
Five come up often. New players skip the odds bet, spread money across prop bets and bet the field as if it were safe. They also chase losses after a seven out and misplace chips on crowded small screens.
Each one costs real money if it carries over from practice.
Fix them in free craps Canada play, where mistakes are free.
What craps terms help at the table?
A short list covers most rounds. Snake eyes is a 2, ace-deuce a 3, yo an 11 and boxcars a 12. Easy means a point number rolled without a pair, and hard means the pair itself, such as a hard 8 from two fours.
Seven out ends the hand, and a natural is a 7 or 11 on the come-out.
Free craps Canada tables use the same terms in their help screens.
How does free craps compare with real money craps?
Same table, different consequences. Real money craps needs an account, identity checks and a deposit, and it brings bonuses, loyalty points and real wins. Free craps Canada tables skip all of that, and they pay nothing.
| Factor | Free craps | Real money craps |
|---|---|---|
| Stake | Virtual chips | Your own money |
| Wins | Chips only | Withdrawable cash |
| Live tables | Not available | Available |
| Bonuses | None | Available, with terms |
| Risk | None | Real losses |
Canadasportsbetting.ca notes that Canadian craps casinos often let you play in demo mode before you deposit.
Who runs a land-based craps table?
A full table has a stickman, who calls the rolls and handles the dice, and two base dealers, who pay and collect bets on each end. A boxman supervises the game and the chips. Live online tables use a dealer and a host instead.
Software tables replace all of them with automatic settlement.
Knowing the roles helps when you move from free craps Canada practice to a real casino floor.
Can free craps prepare you for a live table?
For the bets, yes. Free craps Canada practice teaches the layout, the payouts and the order of play. Live tables add a betting timer, a slower pace and other players, so watch ten live rounds before you join.
Start live play with the same line bets you practised.
Keep your stake small until the live rhythm feels familiar.
What is craps etiquette at a live table?
At land-based and live tables, players avoid saying “seven” during a hand and place bets before the dice are thrown. They also keep their hands out of the way while the dice are in the air. Online tables enforce timing with a betting window instead.
Chat rules at live online tables follow the casino’s code of conduct.
Free craps Canada practice prepares you for the bets, while etiquette comes from watching a live table first.
When does real money craps make sense?
When you know the line bets, the odds bet and your budget, and you have practised sticking to that budget. Choose a licensed casino and the lowest-edge bets, and treat any real session as paid entertainment rather than income.
Our list of the best online casinos in Canada explains what to check before you deposit.
Canadasportsbetting.ca advises making sure your registration details match your ID exactly, to avoid problems at cash-out.
Do casino bonuses help craps players?
Less than slot players. Casinos often count craps at a fraction of its value toward wagering requirements, or exclude it, because its low-edge bets would clear bonuses too cheaply. Check how the casino weights craps in the bonus terms first.
Canadasportsbetting.ca suggests keeping high-RTP slots in mind for clearing bonus money.
No such terms apply at free craps Canada tables, since their chips are not real.
Does free craps help with responsible gambling?
Used for learning, yes; used for thrills, far less. Set time limits for demo play, keep demo stakes close to what you would really bet and avoid using free tables to rehearse risky systems you would never afford.
Ontario residents can reach ConnexOntario at 1-866-531-2600, as OLG’s site notes, and every province runs similar support.
Take a break if free craps Canada sessions start filling your evenings.
How does free craps compare with free roulette?
Both are table games of pure chance, but craps offers more low-edge choices. Its best bets beat a European roulette wheel’s 2.70% edge, while its worst props are far more expensive than any standard roulette bet.
Our page on free roulette in Canada covers the wheel the same way.
Free craps Canada practice teaches you to pick bets carefully, which matters more in craps than in roulette.
Where can you learn the full craps rules?
Start with the layout and the line bets, then the odds, come and place bets, and leave props for last. Casino.org suggests reading an in-depth explanation of the rules before you head to a free table to test it all out.
Our page on craps rules, bets and odds covers each bet in detail.
Then use free craps Canada tables to practise what you read.
What is a good first session at free craps Canada tables?
Open a demo table, bet the pass line for 50 rounds, then add maximum odds for another 50. Compare the two blocks, try the don’t pass side once, and only then decide whether real money craps fits your budget.
Keep notes on each session: bets, stake, rounds and result.
Free craps Canada tables cost only time, so spend it learning the layout.
